Joe Alvarado has a passion for God ✝️, a love for his family 👨👩👧, church ⛪, and fitness 💪.He lives this out daily as the Lead Pastor of Eternal Rock Church and the Studio Leader at Life Time Centennial.Joe holds a Master’s in Strategic Leadership 🎓 and a Master’s in Biblical Theology 📖, equipping him to both shepherd people in their walk with Christ and inspire them in their health and fitness journey.His heart is to see lives transformed—spiritually, physically, and relationally—through faith, community, and intentional living 🌎❤️

💧 What is Baptism?Baptism is an outward sign of an inward faith ✝️. It shows that we belong to Jesus, that our sins are washed away 🙌, and that we have new life in Him 🌱. The Bible says, “Repent and be baptized… in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins” (Acts 2:38).When we go under the water 🌊, it’s a picture of being buried with Christ ⚰️, and when we come up, it shows being raised to new life ✨ (Romans 6:4).Baptism doesn’t save us—Jesus does ❤️. But it is a step of obedience 🚶 and a public declaration of faith 🙏. As Jesus said, “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved” (Mark 16:16).

👶 Baby DedicationsA baby dedication is a special time when parents bring their child before God and the church family 🙏. It’s not baptism, but a way of giving thanks to God for the gift of a child 🎁 and committing to raise them in His ways.In the Bible, Hannah dedicated her son Samuel to the Lord (1 Samuel 1:27–28), and Mary and Joseph presented Jesus at the temple (Luke 2:22).During a dedication, parents promise to guide their child in the love of Christ ❤️, and the church family joins in supporting and praying for them 🤝“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) ✨

Jesus said, “Do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19).The bread 🍞 reminds us of His body given for us, and the cup 🍷 reminds us of His blood poured out for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:26–28).When we take communion together 🤝, we proclaim our faith in Jesus, celebrate our unity as His church 🕊️, and look forward with hope to His return ✨ (1 Corinthians 11:26).
